Monitoring changes on Earth with Sentinel Satellites

By providing images of the atmosphere, ocean and land in high resolution as detailed as 10m sized pixels and in different wavelengths, the Sentinel series of satellite platforms and combined missions are able to assess change by repeating observations on the same place at frequent intervals, typically every five days.

Multi-Purpose Earth Monitoring Solution

Applications include mapping of floods, monitoring land and sea or detecting ships with Sentinel 1; mapping change to the vegetation and crop health, land cover such as urban growth and deforestation with Sentinel 2; monitor forest fires and land surface temperatures with Sentinel 3; monitor the atmosphere with Sentinel 5P; and measure sea level and the ocean sea state by the more recent Sentinel 6
